THE LEAGUE: SEASON FOUR, WEEK FOUR

There is no big fanfare this week, just a quick panning of the crowd before we cut to the ring to get tonight's festivities underway before a raucous crowd.

Pizza Mask III (1-2, 8%) vs. Tarik Nolan (2-1, 12%)

The theme to Samurai Pizza Cats, of all things, hits as Pizza Mask comes out on a scooter, with a pizza box strapped to the back, wearing a helmet with his pizza-design mask, black polo shirt and khaki pants, hopping off the scooter and unstrapping the pizza box, holding it up to the screen to show that it reads "Pain Pizza! Now With 100% Real Cheese!" before he heads to the ring.

Amelia Williams: Our opening contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Your Friendly Neighborhood Pizzeria, weighing 199 pounds...Pizza Mask III!

Bob Sinclair: Pizza Mask pulled off an upset last week, taking out the League Champion, but his task doesn't get any easier this week.

Frankie Garnett: By the end of tonight, the kid will look like the food he represents—flat.

Tori Montgomery: That's really pessimistic, even for you, Frankie.

"Regulate" hits the speakers, immediately drawing the ire of the crowd as a large figure stands in the entryway, backlit by a clear spotlight. Pyro explodes on the stage, causing the light to shut off as the figure finally emerges onto the stage proper. Laughing at the boos hurled in his direction, he takes his time walking to the ring and subsequently entering it for his next match.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Shreveport, Louisiana, weighing 292 pounds...Tarik Nolan!

Tori Montgomery: You have to ask just how focused Nolan is on tonight, and not looking ahead to trying to repeat as Tag Team Turmoil champion with The Phoenix.

Frankie Garnett: There's no way in hell that they repeat, Tori. They got lucky the first time!

Bob Sinclair: We can debate that in the weeks to come, you two. There's the bell to get us underway!

Tori Montgomery: I have to agree with Frankie. "Pizza Mask delivers?"

Bob Sinclair: ...obviously, folks, no pun was intended there. I leave the cheesy jokes to Frankie.

Frankie Garnett: You did it again!

Bob Sinclair: ...can we move on to the next match already?

GREEN DIVISION: Nuclear Templeton (1-2, 12%) vs. Master Imoka (3-0, 11%)

Billy Idol's "Shock to the System" hits the speakers, bringing the crowd to their feet in ovation as one of the League's more recognizable faces emerges from backstage and across the green-tinted stage. As he hits the end of the entrance ramp, he throws his arms into the air, sending a pair of mushroom clouds into the air from the stage as he makes his way to the ring and through the ropes.

Amelia Williams: This is a Green Division contest scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Atlantic City, New Jersey, weighing 278 pounds...Nuclear Templeton!

Bob Sinclair: Nuclear's been off to a slow start this season; evening the season series with Imoka would go a good way towards getting him back on track.

Frankie Garnett: Or Imoka can just flatten him again and I can watch you two have a cow about it.

Tori Montgomery: We'll see, Frankie.

[i]Slayer's "Angel of Death" blasts from the arena speakers as one of this season's rookies emerges from the back, staring a hole through the ring as if by doing so, he can change it to his preferred medium of a martial arts mat. As he gets to ringside, he quickly lashes out and kicks the top half of the steel steps off the bottom half, snarling as he slides into the ring and stands motionless, waiting for the bell to sound.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from the Isle of Samoa, weighing 214 pounds...Master Imoka!

Bob Sinclair: Imoka looks ready to go, guys.

Frankie Garnett: As always! The man has no levity in his body.

Tori Montgomery: ...I'm shocked.

Bob Sinclair: Nuclear avenges his earlier loss this season to Imoka, and at the same time hands the rookie his first League loss of the season!

Tori Montgomery: Imoka will bounce back from this, Bob. He's shown himself to be completely focused; I think this will only be a minor setback for him.

Frankie Garnett: Indeed. Until I see otherwise, Imoka's the one to beat in the Green Division.

Scott Stevens (1-2, 12%) vs. Diamond (1-2, 13%)

"Don't Cha" hits the arena to a mixed reaction as The League's lone female member emerges from backstage. There is a confident smirk on her face as she talks trash with some of the louder fans before sprinting into the ring by diving under the bottom rope. As she stands, she proceeds to the corner nearest the announce table, hands thrown in the air as the soaks in the crowd reaction while her manager stands outside, also applauding her client.

Amelia Williams: This bout is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by Jayde, from Aberdeen, Scotland, weighing 137 pounds...Diamond!

Tori Montgomery: I look for this one to be over quick. Diamond's not going to waste time and will simply beat Stevens into oblivion.

Frankie Garnett: I disagree, Tori. Scorpion's going to keep Diamond up all night long, just like he has before!

Bob Sinclair: Frankie, need I remind you that this is a family show?!

The lights in the arena go pitch black, as red lasers and spotlights light up the area. The soothing voice of Shirley Bassey is heard as "Diamonds are forever...They are... all I need to please me. They can... stimulate and tease me. They won't leave in the night, have no fear that they might... desert me." The Tron lights up with images of Diamond's manager Jayde bloodied and bruised while "Diamonds from Sierra Leone" by Kanye West starts up and the man in question appears from the back and stops on the stage to crack a smirk. The crowd starts booing as Scorpion makes his way down to the ring and he is throwing what appears to be t-shirts to the crowd. When "The Venomous One" reaches the ring he climbs the turnbuckle and shows off the t-shirt and it reads, "Women glee when I make them bleed....Isn't that right Jayde?" on the front and "Only the finest Red Rum for Diamond" on the back.

Amelia Williams: Her opponent, from Houston, Texas, weighing 265 pounds...The Master of Disaster, The King of Sting, The Originator of Get Over Here, The Count of Monte Scorpio, The Venomous One and Only, he is "The Scorpion" Scott Stevens!

Tori Montgomery: Now this is going too far. There's psychological warfare, and then there's completely tasteless tactics like this!

Frankie Garnett: Tori, sit there and shut up. This is glorious!

Tori Montgomery: Shut up? Why you little piece of s—

Bob Sinclair: That's enough, you two!

3!

Amelia Williams: Here is your winner, at a time of six minutes and fifty seconds...Diamond!

Bob Sinclair: Diamond with a measure of revenge from the shenanigans Stevens pulled at last season's playoffs, but one has to ask whether Stevens was unnerved a bit by the actions of The Phoenix earlier this week.

Frankie Garnett: Unnerved? Scorpion? Ha! He doesn't crack that easily.

Tori Montgomery: I beg to differ. If someone Phoenix's size was trying to intimidate me, it would certainly work.

Frankie Garnett: That's why you're stuck behind the desk, and I was the one asked to be a manager. Speaking of, I need to get my client ready, so if you'll excuse me....

Frankie drops the headset and begins heading to the back.

Tori Montgomery: And now it's time for the part of the show where sensible commentary is the norm.

Bob Sinclair: In any event, Amelia, take it away!

Ezekial Kerghan (1-2, 5%) vs. Jack Lightning (1-2, 21%)

Escape the Fate's "This War is Ours" hits the arena speakers as The League's newest resident psychopath emerges and heads towards the ring, looking like he's having an argument with voices only he can hear.

Amelia Williams: This match is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from The Dog Pound, weighing 251 pounds...Ezekial Kerghan!

Bob Sinclair: Kerghan's struggled to start the season, and find himself behind the proverbial 8-ball early on.

Tori Montgomery: For someone who was expected to threaten for a divisional title, he's been very underwhelming.

Linkin Park's "New Divide" hits the speakers as the first Canadian to enter The League emerges from the back, looking surprisingly at ease as he steps onto the ring apron and leaps over the top rope. Climbing onto the turnbuckles, he raises an arm in the air and drinks in the cheers of the crowd before dropping back to the mat and preparing for his match.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from London, Ontario, weighing 233 pounds...Jack Lightning!

Bob Sinclair: Tori, what do you attribute Lightning's slow League start to?

Tori Montgomery: Getting adjusted to the system of The League. It's hard for most people to come in out of the blue and become a force to be reckoned with.

Tori Montgomery: Holy cow!

Amelia Williams: Here is your winner, at a time of six minutes and twenty seconds...Ezekial Kerghan!

Bob Sinclair: That's got to be an early contender for Upset of the Season, right?

Tori Montgomery: I don't think you'll get much argument from anyone associated with The League, Bob. Ezekial defies the odds and pulls out a huge upset over the rookie Lightning!

Benjamin T. Stanton, Jr. (0-3, 16%) vs. Thor Hammerskald (2-1, 12%)

"Here Comes the Money" hits the speakers, as one of this season's rookies emerges from the back, with a beautiful woman hanging off his left arm. He pays no attention to the jeering fans, his attitude simply screaming "I'm better than you."

Amelia Williams: This contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by Missy Callistra, from New Haven, Connecticut, weighing 224 pounds...Benjamin T. Stanton, Jr.!

Bob Sinclair: Stanton is another rookie who has struggled early on, Tori.

Tori Montgomery: It would be a major coup for him to take out one of last season's more dominant wrestlers tonight.

Amon Amarth's "Death in Fire" hits the speakers, to a decent ovation he emerges from backstage, looking every bit the part of a Viking warrior as he strides to the ring with a determined look on his face...and scattering some of the fans away from the entrance ramp as he turns to glare at them. Behind him, his manager/League color commentator can be see giving him encouragement as the Viking enters the confines of the squared circle.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, being accompanied to the ring by Frankie Garnett, from Oslo, Norway, weighing 310 pounds...Thor Hammerskald!

Bob Sinclair: Tori, I've heard that Frankie actually intends to do something besides stand around and act important tonight.

Amelia Williams: Here is your winner, at a time of ten and a half minutes...Benjamin T. Stanton, Jr.!

Bob Sinclair: I don't believe it! I never would have picked this one, Tori!

Tori Montgomery: And as Stanton bails out of the ring to get away from a rather irate Frankie Garnett, you have to ask whether this business relationship between Hammerskald and Frankie is doing more to further Frankie's career, or hindering Thor's....

HARDCORE MATCH: Rannulf von Krüshengberg (2-1, 15%) vs. Eidenhoek Gaiaspade (1-2, 15%)

The opening to Rammstein's "Mein Teil" hits the speakers as the largest member of The League emerges, causing everyone with something that could even remotely be considered food to get away from the entranceway as quickly as possible for fear of losing their food...and at least a body part or two.

Amelia Williams: This is a Hardcore bout scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from der Schwarzwald, Deutschland, weighing 421 pounds..."Der Panzer" Rannulf von Krüshengberg!

Tori Montgomery: Rannulf's had some success so far, which given his size is not something that surprises me.

Bob Sinclair: I'll admit to a bit of surprise. Before him, the largest competitor was The Phoenix, who went 3-11 in his first season. Rannulf's surprised a lot of folks.

BLACK DIVISION: Johnny Triumph (3-0, 16%) vs. SGRaaize (0-3, 15%)
