THE LEAGUE: SEASON FOUR, WEEK TEN

By request of Commissioner Colt Marshall, the show starts immediately after the opening pyro bit, forgoing the announcer introduction entirely as the camera zooms in to Amelia Williams in the center of the ring.

The Phoenix (7-2, 15%) vs. Eidenhoek Gaiaspade (3-6, 16%)

Bon Jovi's "Blaze of Glory" hits the arena speakers as one of the original members of The League comes out, his wife in tow. He has a deadly serious look on his face as he shadowboxes on his way to the ring. As they reach ringside, she reaches up to give him a kiss on the cheek and gives him a slight shove towards the squared circle. He dives in under the bottom rope, coming to his feet with a war cry towards the heavens as he shifts his focus to the ring.

Amelia Williams: Our opening contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, being accompanied to the ring by Te'Snilo Bradenbury, from the End of Nowhere, weighing 337 pounds, he is the Red Division leader...this is The Phoenix!

Bob Sinclair: Is it just me, or does Phoenix look a bit more angry than usual?

Frankie Garnett: Rannulf beat him to the buffet, Bob. Enough said.

Tori Montgomery: Actually, I talked with Phoenix backstage earlier, and he told me that he had heard that Eidenhoek was questioning his fidelity and lack of friends earlier in the week. I think you're going to see him methodically take apart his opponent tonight.

Disturbed's "Indestructible" hits the arena as one of this season's rookies emerges from the back, looking surprisingly at ease despite the hard beat of the song. Jumping onto the apron from the floor, he steps between the ropes and calmly waits waits for the bell to get the match underway.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from the Island of Tria, weighing 205 pounds...Eidenhoek Gaiaspade!

Frankie Garnett: For someone who apparently talked smack about Phoenix, he looks at ease, Tori.

Tori Montgomery: Because he doesn't know what he's in for.

Bob Sinclair: And you do?

Tori Montgomery: Remember, I've been following the guy for most of his career. Given that he was talking about making sure Gaius could not walk out of the ring under his own power tonight, well...I'm not going to doubt him.

Frankie Garnett: ...I've got to get Thor to use that.

Tori Montgomery: Are you trying to get someone killed, Frankie?

Frankie Garnett: Hey, if the walking botch machine can use it, someone of Thor's talents should be able to do it with ease!

BLUE DIVISION: Dante Lorenzo (5-4, 13%) vs. Ezekial Kerghan (7-2, 18%)

Three Days Grace's "Riot" hits the speakers to a chorus of jeers as the first Italian-born member of The League emerges from the back, ignoring the crowd in the arena as he mentally prepares for his upcoming match. Reaching the ring, he climbs up the steps and enters between the ropes, his face never losing a look of confident indifference.

Amelia Williams: This contest is a bout in the Blue Division, scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Florence, Italy, weighing 291 pounds...Dante Lorenzo!

Bob Sinclair: After the hellacious beating he took last week—you can see the stitches in his forehead—how will Dante cope in what is sure to be another hard-hitting contest?

Frankie Garnett: He won't? Look, he's facing one of the League's most notorious psychopaths, Bob.

Tori Montgomery: Frankie has a point. I don't see a medical DQ coming, but Dante's chances aren't looking too good.

Escape the Fate's "This War is Ours" hits the arena speakers as The League's newest resident psychopath emerges and heads towards the ring, looking like he's having an argument with voices only he can hear.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from The Dog Pound, weighing 251 pounds, the Blue Division leader...Ezekial Kerghan!

Tori Montgomery: Kerghan has to be drooling at this thought, guys. He's got the second-place wrestler in his division across from him, who went through hell last week. This could be the week he essentially locks up the Blue Division.

Frankie Garnett: Yes! 12-1 odds on a $200 bet! That's over two grand, come to papa!

Bob Sinclair: Wait, how can you bet on matches when you're managing a League member?

Frankie Garnett: Simple. I can't bet on Thor's matches. Everything else is fair game!

Tori Montgomery: That's what Pete Rose thought, too....

Scott Stevens (2-7, 13%) vs. Robbie Maynard (7-2, 18%)

The lights in the arena go pitch black, as red lasers and spotlights light up the area. The video screen lights up and flashes across the screen, "Nothing survives my sting!" The crowd starts booing as "End of Days" by Emphatic hits the speakers, and the man in question appears from the back and stops on the stage. As "The Venomous One" stares down his opponent with an icy glare he points to them, then he makes the throat slash gesture to them before he begins walking to the ring, being pelted by trash the whole way.

Amelia Williams: This match is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Houston, Texas, weighing 265 pounds... "The Scorpion" Scott Stevens!

Bob Sinclair: Stevens is fighting for his playoff life here tonight. A loss all but eliminates him from contention.

Frankie Garnett: And it took a conspiracy to do so!

Tori Montgomery: A conspiracy? Was it the grassy knoll or Little Jimmy that gave it away?

Frankie Garnett: That is so not funny, Tori....

The opening riffs of Metallica's "Master of Puppets" hits the speakers, drawing a mixed reaction from the crowd as one of the League's initial playoff wrestlers emerges from the stage, bathed in a blue light shining beneath him. After pausing to mentally prepare himself, he walks to the ring, his eyes never leaving the squared circle as he climbs onto the apron and ducks between the ropes.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Liverpool, England, weighing 251 pounds, he is the Yellow Division leader...Robbie Maynard!

Diamond (4-5, 16%) vs. Nuclear Templeton (6-3, 18%)

"Don't Cha" hits the arena to a mixed reaction as The League's lone female member emerges from backstage. There is a confident smirk on her face as she talks trash with some of the louder fans before sprinting into the ring by diving under the bottom rope. As she stands, she proceeds to the corner nearest the announce table, hands thrown in the air as the soaks in the crowd reaction while her manager stands outside, also applauding her client.

Amelia Williams: This bout is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by Jayde, from Aberdeen, Scotland, weighing 137 pounds...Diamond!

Tori Montgomery: With Kerghan's loss to Lorenzo earlier tonight, Diamond has a chance to get back into the thick of the Blue Division hunt with a win tonight.

Frankie Garnett: Against Templeton? Nuclear has pwned Diamond head-to-head!

Bob Sinclair: ...did you seriously just use "pwned" in a sentence?

Frankie Garnett: Yeah, I did? Whatcha gonna do, cry about it?

Bob Sinclair: ....

Billy Idol's "Shock to the System" hits the speakers, bringing the crowd to their feet in ovation as one of the League's more recognizable faces emerges from backstage and across the green-tinted stage. As he hits the end of the entrance ramp, he throws his arms into the air, sending a pair of mushroom clouds into the air from the stage as he makes his way to the ring and through the ropes.

Amelia Williams: Her opponent, from Atlantic City, New Jersey, weighing 278 pounds...Nuclear Templeton!

Tori Montgomery: Nuclear's in the thick of the Wild Card hunt, and a win here would keep him in contention in the Green Division.

Frankie Garnett: That's the one that Sean is leading, right?

Pizza Mask III (3-6, 13%) vs. Rannulf von Krüshengberg (4-5, 22%)

The theme to Samurai Pizza Cats, of all things, hits as Pizza Mask comes out on a scooter, with a pizza box strapped to the back, wearing a helmet with his pizza-design mask, his black polo shirt covered by a red t-shirt that simply says "You Can't Avoid the Noidsault!", and khaki pants, hopping off the scooter and unstrapping the pizza box, holding it up to the screen to show that it reads "Pain Pizza! Now With 100% Real Cheese!" before he heads to the ring. As he enters the ring itself, he pulls off the Noidsault T-shirt and tosses it into the crowd, getting ready for the match.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from der Schwarzwald, Deutschland, weighing 421 pounds..."Der Panzer" Rannulf von Krüshengberg!

Bob Sinclair: Rannulf showing signs of damage from that bloodbath last week; I think he's got a few more stitches than Lorenzo has.

Ian Carlisle (1-8, 13%) vs. Master Imoka (5-4, 23%)

"Not a Stranger to the Danger" blares through the arena as one of last season's rookies steps into the arena, a look of determination on his face. A moment later, he sprints towards the ring, sliding in under the bottom rope and heading to a corner to appeal to the fans.

Amelia Williams: This match is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Blackpool, England, weighing 222 pounds...Ian Carlisle!

Bob Sinclair: Carlisle is basically wrestling for pride at this point; unlike the NFL, a wrestler with a sub-.500 record has never made the playoffs here in The League.

Tori Montgomery: And that does not seem likely to change this season, either.

Slayer's "Angel of Death" blasts from the arena speakers as one of this season's rookies emerges from the back, staring a hole through the ring as if by doing so, he can change it to his preferred medium of a martial arts mat. As he gets to ringside, he quickly lashes out and kicks the top half of the steel steps off the bottom half, snarling as he slides into the ring and stands motionless, waiting for the bell to sound.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from the Isle of Samoa, weighing 214 pounds...Master Imoka!

Tori Montgomery: With the Nuclear loss, Imoka can pull himself back into the Green Division hunt with a victory tonight.

Bob Sinclair: And most everyone thinks that to be a foregone conclusion, if our Internet poll means anything.

BLACK DIVISION: SGRaaize (3-6, 21%) vs. Thor Hammerskald (5-4, 17%)

Amon Amarth's "Death in Fire" hits the speakers, to a decent ovation he emerges from backstage, looking every bit the part of a Viking warrior as he strides to the ring with a determined look on his face...and scattering some of the fans away from the entrance ramp as he turns to glare at them. Behind him, his manager/League color commentator can be see giving him encouragement as the Viking enters the confines of the squared circle.

Amelia Williams: This is a Black Division contest scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, being accompanied to the ring by Frankie Garnett, from Oslo, Norway, weighing 310 pounds...the Black Division leader, Thor Hammerskald!

Tori Montgomery: Thor comes in with the tie-breaker in the Black Division, and needs a win to ensure that he will lead the division after this week.

Bob Sinclair: He might be in for a tougher fight than expected.

A Portugesa hits the speakers to a rousing chorus of jeers as the Tron displays the national flag of Portugal. Emerging from the entryway, he turns to salute his homeland's flag before calmly walking to the ring, ignoring the fans as he slides into the ring and bounces off the ropes a couple of times to stretch.

Amelia Williams: His opponent from Torres Vedras, Portugal, weighing 231 pounds...SGRaaize!

Bob Sinclair: The question has to be asked. Can Raaize make it two in a row?

Bob Sinclair: Something tells me we're not going to see Frankie for the rest of the night, Tori. As upset as he is...yeah.

Jack Lightning (3-6, 24%) vs. Benjamin T. Stanton, Jr. (3-6, 15%)

"Here Comes the Money" hits the speakers, as one of this season's rookies emerges from the back, with a beautiful woman hanging off his left arm. He pays no attention to the jeering fans, his attitude simply screaming "I'm better than you."

Amelia Williams: This bout is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by Missy Callistra, from Providence, Rhode Island, weighing 224 pounds...Benjamin T. Stanton, Jr.!

Bob Sinclair: During the commercial break, we heard that Frankie will indeed not be rejoining us tonight, citing something about trying to pull Thor head out of...well, you get the drift.

Tori Montgomery: I didn't realize that he would be taking this quite so seriously.

Linkin Park's "New Divide" hits the speakers as the first Canadian to enter The League emerges from the back, looking surprisingly at ease as he steps onto the ring apron and leaps over the top rope. Climbing onto the turnbuckles, he raises an arm in the air and drinks in the cheers of the crowd before dropping back to the mat and preparing for his match.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from London, Ontario, weighing 233 pounds...Jack Lightning!

Tori Montgomery: Let's face it, folks. Both of these men have little chance in making the playoffs, but at least the winner keeps the dream alive for a while longer. The loser is likely done.

Bob Sinclair: That's rather blunt, Tori.

Tori Montgomery: It's the facts. Not much use in sugar-coating them.

CAGE MATCH: Maxx Skabb (6-3, 26%) vs. Johnny Triumph (5-4, 17%)

A remixed version of "Ecstasy of Gold" hits the speakers, which is nearly drowned out in jeers as he emerges from the entryway. Instead of taking the steps closest to him, he walks around to the opposite side of the ring, drawing in more jeers as he finally climbs the steps and enters the ring.

Amelia Williams: The following contest is a steel cage match, in which the only way to win is to escape the cage with both feet touching the floor! Introducing first, from Des Moines, Iowa, weighing 228 pounds...Johnny Triumph!

Tori Montgomery: Triumph has a chance to assume the outright Black Division lead thanks to Thor's loss earlier tonight.

Bob Sinclair: And I can assure you that Frankie has Thor watching this match.

Avenged Sevenfold's "Nightmare" blares throughout the arena as spotlights begin to pan over the audience, as if looking for someone. A dim red light shines on the entryway, revealing a hulking figure making his way to ringside, with two more men hiding just at the fringes of the spotlight, their eyes never leaving the form of the big man. As the refrain hits, the spotlights immediately focus on him as white strobe lights flash on the entrance stage. He slides under the bottom rope, his orange jumpsuit a stark contrast to most of the clothing in the audience as the song fades into silence.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from the Orange County Correctional Facility, weighing 289 pounds...Maxx Skabb!

Bob Sinclair: I know it's going to sound wrong, but Skabb probably feels right at home in this match.

Sean (7-2, 20%) vs. Tarik Nolan (4-5, 25%)

Motley Crue's "Kickstart My Heart" hits the arena speakers as a spotlight shines down on the top of the ramp. Emerging from the back, the reigning League Champion emerges, gold belt gleaming in the spotlight as he throws a hand into the air, causing pyro to erupt from behind him in a manner of paparazzi photographing him. With a smirk, the champ slings the title belt over his shoulder and heads to the ring, the spotlight remaining on him the whole time.

Amelia Williams: This is our main event of the evening, scheduled for one fall! Introducing first now residing in Los Angeles, California, weighing 230 pounds, he is the reigning and defending League Champion, and the current Green Division leader..."Hollywood" Sean!

Bob Sinclair: The defending champ has an opportunity to put a stranglehold on the Green Division here, Tori.

Tori Montgomery: A win gives him a two match lead with four to go. Not an insurmountable margin, but difficult to make up in so short a time.

"Regulate" hits the speakers, immediately drawing the ire of the crowd as a large figure stands in the entryway, backlit by a clear spotlight. Pyro explodes on the stage, causing the light to shut off as the figure finally emerges onto the stage proper. Laughing at the boos hurled in his direction, he takes his time walking to the ring and subsequently entering it for his next match.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Shreveport, Louisiana, weighing 292 pounds...Tarik Nolan!

Bob Sinclair: Nolan needs this one, Tori. No two ways about it.

Tori Montgomery: A Nolan win gives him outright possession of second in the Yellow Division, and an outside chance of catching Maynard. A loss all but seals the division up.
