THE LEAGUE: SEASON FOUR, WEEK TWELVE

Due to the fact that the show is already late, just imagine a fancy entrance-type thing here to rival SWF/TCW. 'Kay? Thanks.

Ian Carlisle (2-9, 8%) vs. Johnny Triumph (7-4, 15%)

"Not a Stranger to the Danger" blares through the arena as one of last season's rookies steps into the arena, a look of determination on his face. A moment later, he sprints towards the ring, sliding in under the bottom rope and heading to a corner to appeal to the fans.

Amelia Williams: Ladies and gentlemen, this is our opening contest of the night, scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Blackpool, England, weighing 222 pounds...Ian Carlisle!

Bob Sinclair: Carlisle has been eliminated from any shot of the postseason, and now is fighting to stay out of the League basement coming into the last three weeks of the regular season.

Frankie Garnett: He's wasting his time, Bob. I don't know how else to put it.

Tori Montgomery: He can still play spoiler, though.

A remixed version of "Ecstasy of Gold" hits the speakers, which is nearly drowned out in jeers as he emerges from the entryway. Instead of taking the steps closest to him, he walks around to the opposite side of the ring, drawing in more jeers as he finally climbs the steps and enters the ring.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Des Moines, Iowa, weighing 228 pounds, the Black Division leader...Johnny Triumph!

Bob Sinclair: With a win, Triumph will force Hammerskald to win in order to avoid being on the verge of losing the division next week.

Amelia Williams: Here is your winner, at a time of six minutes and fifty seconds...Johnny Triumph!

Tori Montgomery: And now the pressure is on your client, Frankie. Think Thor's got another win in him tonight?

Frankie Garnett: I'd be a damn fool if I said otherwise.

Bob Sinclair: We'll find the answer to that question in our main event of the evening, folks. As it stands, we're heading right back to the ring to continue our Tuesday night debut from Japan!

Diamond (5-6, 15%) vs. Eidenhoek Gaiaspade (3-8, 11%)

Disturbed's "Indestructible" hits the arena as one of this season's rookies emerges from the back, looking surprisingly at ease despite the hard beat of the song. Jumping onto the apron from the floor, he steps between the ropes and calmly waits waits for the bell to get the match underway.

Amelia Williams: This bout is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from the Island of Tria, weighing 205 pounds...Eidenhoek Gaiaspade!

Bob Sinclair: For Gaius, it's simple. A loss officially takes him out of the playoffs. A win only mitigates those chances slightly.

Frankie Garnett: In other words, the kid is boned.

Tori Montgomery: If you have to be so crude, then yes.

"Don't Cha" hits the arena to a mixed reaction as The League's lone female member emerges from backstage. There is a confident smirk on her face as she talks trash with some of the louder fans before sprinting into the ring by diving under the bottom rope. As she stands, she proceeds to the corner nearest the announce table, hands thrown in the air as the soaks in the crowd reaction while her manager stands outside, also applauding her client.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, accompanied to the ring by Jayde, from Aberdeen, Scotland, weighing 137 pounds...Diamond!

Tori Montgomery: Diamond is still in the Blue Division hunt and is also in the thick of the wild card race. A win here puts her in prime position to really shake up the Blue Division next week.

Frankie Garnett: Oh, quit yer complaining, already. I came for violence, not arguments!

Pizza Mask III (5-6, 11%) vs. Dante Lorenzo (6-5, 17%)

The theme to Samurai Pizza Cats, of all things, hits as Pizza Mask comes out on a scooter, with a pizza box strapped to the back, wearing a helmet with his pizza-design mask, his black polo shirt covered by a red t-shirt that simply says "You Can't Avoid the Noidsault!", and khaki pants, hopping off the scooter and unstrapping the pizza box, holding it up to the screen to show that it reads "Pain Pizza! Now With 100% Real Cheese!" before he heads to the ring. As he enters the ring itself, he pulls off the Noidsault T-shirt and tosses it into the crowd, getting ready for the match.

Amelia Williams: This contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Your Friendly Neighborhood Pizzeria, weighing 199 pounds...Pizza Mask III!

Bob Sinclair: To the surprise of many given his matches earlier in the season, Pizza Mask is still in the hunt for a wild card berth and mathematically in the running for the Red Division—

Frankie Garnett: Oh, don't start trying to avoid playing favorites now, Bob. You know, I know, and everyone listening knows that you think Phoenix has the division all but sewn up, so why give false hope to people?

Tori Montgomery: ...Remind me not to fight with you when you're hormonal.

Frankie Garnett: And don't you for--hey!

Three Days Grace's "Riot" hits the speakers to a chorus of jeers as the first Italian-born member of The League emerges from the back, ignoring the crowd in the arena as he mentally prepares for his upcoming match. Reaching the ring, he climbs up the steps and enters between the ropes, his face never losing a look of confident indifference.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Florence, Italy, weighing 291 pounds...Dante Lorenzo!

Bob Sinclair: Much like Diamond, Lorenzo is right in the thick of the Blue Division hunt. He has a one-match advantage over Diamond; is that going to be enough?

Tori Montgomery: I'm still trying to run scenarios out mentally, Bob, and it might be enough especially if these three end up tied at 8-6 on the season, which is a distinct possibility!

Frankie Garnett: Again, who cares about potential? I want to see what happens now!

GREEN DIVISION: Sean (9-2, 15%) vs. Jack Lightning (3-8, 13%)

Linkin Park's "New Divide" hits the speakers as the first Canadian to enter The League emerges from the back, looking surprisingly at ease as he steps onto the ring apron and leaps over the top rope. Climbing onto the turnbuckles, he raises an arm in the air and drinks in the cheers of the crowd before dropping back to the mat and preparing for his match.

Amelia Williams: Our next bout is scheduled for one fall in the Green Division! Introducing first, from London, Ontario, weighing 233 pounds...Jack Lightning!

Bob Sinclair: This has been a less-than-stellar debut season for the Canadian, and his task does not get easier tonight as the rest of the Green Division—specifically Templeton—place their hopes on the rookie to stop the juggernaut that is Sean.

Frankie Garnett: You'd be better off giving me your money to gamble with in Vegas.

Tori Montgomery: How did I see that one coming....?

Motley Crue's "Kickstart My Heart" hits the arena speakers as a spotlight shines down on the top of the ramp. Emerging from the back, the reigning League Champion emerges, gold belt gleaming in the spotlight as he throws a hand into the air, causing pyro to erupt from behind him in a manner of paparazzi photographing him. With a smirk, the champ slings the title belt over his shoulder and heads to the ring, the spotlight remaining on him the whole time.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, now residing in Los Angeles, California, weighing 230 pounds, he is the reigning and defending League Champion and the current Green Division leader..."Hollywood" Sean!

Tori Montgomery: It's real clear. A win clinches Sean's fourth post-season appearance and gives the defending League champ a shot at repeating.

Frankie Garnett: YES!

Amelia Williams: Here is your winner, at a time of fourteen minutes even...Ezekial Kerghan!

Bob Sinclair: Phoenix unable to capture the Red Division himself; he has a chance still if his nemesis Scott Stevens can stun Maxx Skabb later tonight.

Frankie Garnett: Hate to tell the guy—oh, who am I kidding? I'm gonna enjoy telling him that as usual, he will fail miserably tonight!

Tori Montgomery: One of these days, Frankie...

CAGE MATCH: Tarik Nolan (5-6, 15%) vs. SGRaaize (5-6, 15%)

A Portugesa hits the speakers to a rousing chorus of jeers as the Tron displays the national flag of Portugal. Emerging from the entryway, he turns to salute his homeland's flag before calmly walking to the ring, ignoring the fans as he slides into the ring and bounces off the ropes a couple of times to stretch.

Amelia Williams: Our next contest will be held inside the confines of a steel cage! Introducing first, from Torres Vedras, Portugal, weighing 231 pounds...SGRaaize!

Bob Sinclair: Surely one of the surprises of the second half of the season, Raaize has come from out of nowhere to find himself on the fringes of the wild card chase.

Tori Montgomery: Surprise is right, Bob. I had Raaize all but written off—what are you laughing at, Frankie?

Frankie Garnett: "Surprise is right, Bob." This is not a daytime game show, you know!

Tori Montgomery: ....

"Regulate" hits the speakers, immediately drawing the ire of the crowd as a large figure stands in the entryway, backlit by a clear spotlight. Pyro explodes on the stage, causing the light to shut off as the figure finally emerges onto the stage proper. Laughing at the boos hurled in his direction, he takes his time walking to the ring and subsequently entering it for his next match.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Shreveport, Louisiana, weighing 292 pounds...Tarik Nolan!

Bob Sinclair: Nolan still has a chance to sneak into the playoffs, but needs a win here to keep those chances alive.

Tori Montgomery: Wait, did the official even see that? I think he's still out of it!

Bob Sinclair: I think Raaize realizes this as well, Tori, as he's trying to scramble out of the cage before the ref comes to!

Frankie Garnett: The hell is going on here?

Raaize gets to the top of the cage, and is starting his descent as the ref finally focuses in on that side of the ring...and sees Nolan standing on the floor, chair in hand and waiting, almost begging for Raaize to come into range. Seeing this, he finally calls for the bell. Amelia Williams walks over to the cage to get the ruling, and a moment later begins her announcement.

Amelia Williams: Ladies and gentlemen, your winner, at a time of twelve minutes and twenty seconds...Tarik Nolan!

Bob Sinclair: That has to be the damnedest finish to a cage match I've seen in my years of covering this sport.

Tori Montgomery: I cannot recall any matches where the ref has been knocked out immediately prior to a participant escaping the cage, either.

Frankie Garnett: It's simple. Colt Marshall is losing control of this League.

Bob Sinclair: I wouldn't go that far....

RED DIVISION: Maxx Skabb (6-5, 15%) vs. Scott Stevens (3-8, 15%)

The lights in the arena go pitch black, as red lasers and spotlights light up the area. The video screen lights up and flashes across the screen, "Nothing survives my sting!" The crowd starts booing as "End of Days" by Emphatic hits the speakers, and the man in question appears from the back and stops on the stage. As "The Venomous One" stares down his opponent with an icy glare he points to them, then he makes the throat slash gesture to them before he begins walking to the ring, being pelted by trash the whole way.

Amelia Williams: This contest is scheduled for one fall in the Red Division! Introducing first, from Houston, Texas, weighing 265 pounds... "The Scorpion" Scott Stevens!

Tori Montgomery: Given what happened earlier on tonight, I have to wonder if Phoenix may actually be rooting for—nah.

Frankie Garnett: Why not?

Tori Montgomery: Because knowing Phoenix, he wouldn't want to win the division this way and allow Stevens to lord it up over him.

Bob Sinclair: Makes sense.

Avenged Sevenfold's "Nightmare" blares throughout the arena as spotlights begin to pan over the audience, as if looking for someone. A dim red light shines on the entryway, revealing a hulking figure making his way to ringside, with two more men hiding just at the fringes of the spotlight, their eyes never leaving the form of the big man. As the refrain hits, the spotlights immediately focus on him as white strobe lights flash on the entrance stage. He slides under the bottom rope, his orange jumpsuit a stark contrast to most of the clothing in the audience as the song fades into silence.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from the Orange County Correctional Facility, weighing 289 pounds...Maxx Skabb!

Bob Sinclair: Skabb has his fate in his hands tonight; can he keep the Red Division race alive for another week?

Frankie Garnett: No chance. Stevens looks as sharp as I've seen him in recent memory.

Frankie Garnett: Haters gon' hate!

Tori Montgomery: ....

Master Imoka (5-6, 16%) vs. Robbie Maynard (9-2, 15%)

The opening riffs of Metallica's "Master of Puppets" hits the speakers, drawing a mixed reaction from the crowd as one of the League's initial playoff wrestlers emerges from the stage, bathed in a blue light shining beneath him. After pausing to mentally prepare himself, he walks to the ring, his eyes never leaving the squared circle as he climbs onto the apron and ducks between the ropes.

Amelia Williams: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Liverpool, England, weighing 251 pounds, this season's Yellow Division champion...Robbie Maynard!

Bob Sinclair: Maynard clinched the Yellow Division last week; this week he's looking to ruin the chances of Imoka with his tenth win of the season.

Tori Montgomery: I still think Imoka will catch Maynard on an off night.

Frankie Garnett: You would....

Slayer's "Angel of Death" blasts from the arena speakers as one of this season's rookies emerges from the back, staring a hole through the ring as if by doing so, he can change it to his preferred medium of a martial arts mat. As he gets to ringside, he quickly lashes out and kicks the top half of the steel steps off the bottom half, snarling as he slides into the ring and stands motionless, waiting for the bell to sound.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from the Isle of Samoa, weighing 214 pounds...Master Imoka!

Bob Sinclair: Imoka is looking for a late-season push. I think he has a legit chance to pull it off.

Amon Amarth's "Death in Fire" hits the speakers, to a decent ovation he emerges from backstage, looking every bit the part of a Viking warrior as he strides to the ring with a determined look on his face...and scattering some of the fans away from the entrance ramp as he turns to glare at them. Behind him, his manager/League color commentator can be see giving him encouragement as the Viking enters the confines of the squared circle.

Amelia Williams: This is our main event of the evening, scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, being accompanied to the ring by Frankie Garnett, from Oslo, Norway, weighing 310 pounds...Thor Hammerskald!

Bob Sinclair: So, Tori, about that—

Bob is interrupted as Frankie stalks over to the announce table and slams down a handful of bills in front of Tori before storming back to Thor's corner.

Bob Sinclair: How?

Tori Montgomery: He knows I've got friends in the back. Thor's one of them.

Bob Sinclair: Ah....

The opening to Rammstein's "Mein Teil" hits the speakers as the largest member of The League emerges, causing everyone with something that could even remotely be considered food to get away from the entranceway as quickly as possible for fear of losing their food...and at least a body part or two.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from der Schwarzwald, Deutschland, weighing 421 pounds..."Der Panzer" Rannulf von Krüshengberg!

Tori Montgomery: Rannulf must win if he has any hope of catching the wild card contenders. That's all there is.

Bob Sinclair: Do you like his chances?

Tori Montgomery: Against a Thor who still has hopes of a Black Division title? No. Combine that with no killer instinct and you have the makings of a first-class whuppin' tonight.

Bob Sinclair: ...whuppin'?

Tori Montgomery: It's a technical term.
