THE LEAGUE: SEASON FOUR, WEEK FOURTEEN

Once more, the massive display of pyro goes off, signaling the start of what promises to be an eventful show as we head right to the ring to get this extravaganza underway.

BLACK DIVISION: Eidenhoek Gaiaspade (3-10, 10%) vs. SGRaaize (5-8, 19%)

Disturbed's "Indestructible" hits the arena as one of this season's rookies emerges from the back, looking surprisingly at ease despite the hard beat of the song. Jumping onto the apron from the floor, he steps between the ropes and calmly waits waits for the bell to get the match underway.

Amelia Williams: Our opening contest of the night is a Black Division match scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from the Island of Tria, weighing 205 pounds...Eidenhoek Gaiaspade!

Bob Sinclair: Good evening, everyone, and welcome to the final week of the regular season! Bob Sinclair here at ringside with Frankie Garnett and Tori Montgomery, and we're getting right to the action this week as it promises to be a doozy of a show!

Tori Montgomery: Nine matches tonight have potential playoff implications, this one being the exception in the group.

Bob Sinclair: So we're getting the boring stuff out of the way early so we can get to Scorpion beating the holy hell out of Phoenix? I approve!

A Portugesa hits the speakers to a rousing chorus of jeers as the Tron displays the national flag of Portugal. Emerging from the entryway, he turns to salute his homeland's flag before calmly walking to the ring, ignoring the fans as he slides into the ring and bounces off the ropes a couple of times to stretch.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Torres Vedras, Portugal, weighing 231 pounds...SGRaaize!

Bob Sinclair: This may well be the final hurrah for SGRaaize, who remains very tight-lipped about his future in or out of The League.

Tori Montgomery: Meanwhile, look at Gaius on the opposite side of the ring. He's determined to end the season on a high note, and knocking off a League Original in Raaize will go a long way towards that.

Tori Montgomery: Second-best?

Frankie Garnett: Yeah, behind Thor winning the Black Division in the main event!

Bob Sinclair: Before we go to the first of nine matches involving those involved or potentially involved, Tori, don't you have something ready for the fans at home?

Tori Montgomery: In fact, I do, Bob. Coming in to tonight, there were 11 people trying to fit into eight playoff spots. Here's how the picture looks now, and I'll be updating this after every match from here on in to keep everyone up to speed on how the playoff pictures looks to the moment.

RED DIVISION FIRST BLOOD MATCH: Scott Stevens (5-8, 12%) vs. The Phoenix (10-3, 15%)

The lights in the arena go pitch black, as red lasers and spotlights light up the area. The video screen lights up and flashes across the screen, "Nothing survives my sting!" The crowd starts booing as "End of Days" by Emphatic hits the speakers, and the man in question appears from the back and stops on the stage. As "The Venomous One" stares down his opponent with an icy glare he points to them, then he makes the throat slash gesture to them before he begins walking to the ring, being pelted by trash the whole way.

Amelia Williams: This is a First Blood contest in the Red Division! Introducing first, from Houston, Texas, weighing 265 pounds... "The Scorpion" Scott Stevens!

Bob Sinclair: Everyone who cried conspiracy the last time these two faced off in a first blood match will be watching this one intently.

Frankie Garnett: I still say Scorpion was robbed in that match? How can you lose a first blood match without bleeding?

Tori Montgomery: Nonetheless, Stevens looks ready for war tonight.

Bon Jovi's "Blaze of Glory" hits the arena speakers as one of the original members of The League comes out, his wife in tow. He has a deadly serious look on his face as he shadowboxes on his way to the ring. As they reach ringside, she reaches up to give him a kiss on the cheek and gives him a slight shove towards the squared circle. He dives in under the bottom rope, coming to his feet with a war cry towards the heavens as he shifts his focus to the ring.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, being accompanied to the ring by Te'Snilo Bradenbury, from the End of Nowhere, weighing 337 pounds, the Red Division Champion...this is The Phoenix!

Frankie Garnett: I know it's wrong of me to say this, but if there is a God in Heaven, I beg you...please make sure this lump can't physically make it to Beijing next week!

Tori Montgomery: Frankie! How can you say that?!

Frankie Garnett: Simple! If he can't make it, it's one less person between Thor and the League Championship!

YELLOW DIVISION: Rannulf von Krüshengberg (5-8, 19%) vs. Robbie Maynard (9-4, 19%)

The opening to Rammstein's "Mein Teil" hits the speakers as the largest member of The League emerges, causing everyone with something that could even remotely be considered food to get away from the entranceway as quickly as possible for fear of losing their food...and at least a body part or two.

Bob Sinclair: Rannulf looking to play spoiler here, given what just occurred a few moments ago.

After pausing to mentally prepare himself, he walks to the ring, his eyes never leaving the squared circle as he climbs onto the apron and ducks between the ropes.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Liverpool, England, weighing 251 pounds, the Yellow Division Champion...Robbie Maynard!

Bob Sinclair: Maynard is going to the playoffs for the third time in his four-season League career; is this the season he goes all the way?

GREEN DIVISION: Master Imoka (6-7, 22%) vs. Sean (10-3, 12%)

Slayer's "Angel of Death" blasts from the arena speakers as one of this season's rookies emerges from the back, staring a hole through the ring as if by doing so, he can change it to his preferred medium of a martial arts mat. As he gets to ringside, he quickly lashes out and kicks the top half of the steel steps off the bottom half, snarling as he slides into the ring and stands motionless, waiting for the bell to sound.

Amelia Williams: This is a Green Division contest scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from the Isle of Samoa, weighing 214 pounds...Master Imoka!

Bob Sinclair: Imoka's impressed me this season. If it weren't for being in the same division as Nuclear and Sean, we might be talking about him making a deep run this postseason.

Frankie Garnett: If, if, if. You know the saying about "if," right?

Tori Montgomery: ...it's always followed by then?

Frankie Garnett: ....

Motley Crue's "Kickstart My Heart" hits the arena speakers as a spotlight shines down on the top of the ramp. Emerging from the back, the reigning League Champion emerges, gold belt gleaming in the spotlight as he throws a hand into the air, causing pyro to erupt from behind him in a manner of paparazzi photographing him. With a smirk, the champ slings the title belt over his shoulder and heads to the ring, the spotlight remaining on him the whole time.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, now residing in Los Angeles, California, weighing 230 pounds, he is the reigning and defending League Champion and the Yellow Division Champion..."Hollywood" Sean!

Bob Sinclair: Sean's streak continues, as this will be the fourth straight postseason he'll be a part of. He's got to be one of the favorites to win it all, Tori.

GREEN DIVISION: Nuclear Templeton (8-5, 17%) vs. Jack Lightning (3-10, 20%)

Linkin Park's "New Divide" hits the speakers as the first Canadian to enter The League emerges from the back, looking surprisingly at ease as he steps onto the ring apron and leaps over the top rope. Climbing onto the turnbuckles, he raises an arm in the air and drinks in the cheers of the crowd before dropping back to the mat and preparing for his match.

Amelia Williams: This is a Green Division bout scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from London, Ontario, weighing 233 pounds...Jack Lightning!

Bob Sinclair: Lightning has had trouble adjusting to The League, as his record shows.

Tori Montgomery: Fliers have traditionally struggled here, at least without adapting. We'll see if Lightning can improve next season.

Frankie Garnett: Or at least, if anyone cares.

Billy Idol's "Shock to the System" hits the speakers, bringing the crowd to their feet in ovation as one of the League's more recognizable faces emerges from backstage and across the green-tinted stage. Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Atlantic City, New Jersey, weighing 278 pounds...Nuclear Templeton!

Tori Montgomery: Boiled down to simplicity, it's like this. If Nuclear wins, he's in as a wild card and likely the #6 seed. If he loses, he'll need some serious help as his chances drop to under 30%.

Bob Sinclair: Templeton's more than capable of handling his own business; he's no stranger to the playoffs, after all.

Bob Sinclair: Will the third season be a charm for Carlisle?

Tori Montgomery: It certainly cannot get much worse than this one, Bob.

Frankie Garnett: Sure it could! How does 0-14 sound?

"Don't Cha" hits the arena to a mixed reaction as The League's lone female member emerges from backstage. There is a confident smirk on her face as she talks trash with some of the louder fans before sprinting into the ring by diving under the bottom rope. As she stands, she proceeds to the corner nearest the announce table, hands thrown in the air as the soaks in the crowd reaction while her manager stands outside, also applauding her client.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, accompanied to the ring by Jayde, from Aberdeen, Scotland, weighing 137 pounds, she is one-half of the reigning Tag Team Turmoil champions...Diamond!

RED DIVISION: Maxx Skabb (7-6, 20%) vs. Pizza Mask III (5-8, 17%)

The theme to Samurai Pizza Cats, of all things, hits as Pizza Mask comes out on a scooter, with a pizza box strapped to the back, wearing a helmet with his pizza-design mask, his black polo shirt covered by a red t-shirt that simply says "You Can't Avoid the Noidsault!", and khaki pants, hopping off the scooter and unstrapping the pizza box, holding it up to the screen to show that it reads "Pain Pizza! Now With 100% Real Cheese!" before he heads to the ring. As he enters the ring itself, he pulls off the Noidsault T-shirt and tosses it into the crowd, getting ready for the match.

Amelia Williams: This is a Red Division match scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Your Friendly Neighborhood Pizzeria, weighing 199 pounds...Pizza Mask III!

Frankie Garnett: At least he's coming out here focused this week. I think Thor taught him that lesson rather well, don't you?

Bob Sinclair: I called it a bit out of hand, but whatever suits you, Frankie.

Frankie Garnett: Damn straight!

Avenged Sevenfold's "Nightmare" blares throughout the arena as spotlights begin to pan over the audience, as if looking for someone. A dim red light shines on the entryway, revealing a hulking figure making his way to ringside, with two more men hiding just at the fringes of the spotlight, their eyes never leaving the form of the big man. As the refrain hits, the spotlights immediately focus on him as white strobe lights flash on the entrance stage. He slides under the bottom rope, his orange jumpsuit a stark contrast to most of the clothing in the audience as the song fades into silence.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from the Orange County Correctional Facility, weighing 289 pounds...Maxx Skabb!

Tori Montgomery: With Nolan losing, the road becomes easier for Skabb. A win knocks Diamond out of the picture, and then his fate would hang in the balance of our next match. A loss and his season is over.

Frankie Garnett: He's as bad as Tarik Nolan in pressure situations, Tori. He'll crumple too, mark my words.

BLUE DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Ezekial Kerghan (8-5, 20%) vs. Dante Lorenzo (8-5, 16%)

Three Days Grace's "Riot" hits the speakers to a chorus of jeers as the first Italian-born member of The League emerges from the back, ignoring the crowd in the arena as he mentally prepares for his upcoming match. Reaching the ring, he climbs up the steps and enters between the ropes, his face never losing a look of confident indifference.

Amelia Williams: This bout is scheduled for one fall, and will decide the Blue Division Champion! Introducing first, from Florence, Italy, weighing 291 pounds...Dante Lorenzo!

Bob Sinclair: Lorenzo has been the cream of the rookie crop this season, being just one win away from a division title!

Tori Montgomery: He's got a tough task ahead of him tonight, though.

Escape the Fate's "This War is Ours" hits the arena speakers as The League's newest resident psychopath emerges and heads towards the ring, looking like he's having an argument with voices only he can hear.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from The Dog Pound, weighing 251 pounds...Ezekial Kerghan!

Bob Sinclair: For the second time in as many seasons, Kerghan comes into the final week with a chance to win the division.

Bob Sinclair: How so?

Tori Montgomery: Well, take a look!

BLACK DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Johnny Triumph (9-4, 26%) vs. Thor Hammerskald (8-5, 30%)

A remixed version of "Ecstasy of Gold" hits the speakers, which is nearly drowned out in jeers as he emerges from the entryway. Instead of taking the steps closest to him, he walks around to the opposite side of the ring, drawing in more jeers as he finally climbs the steps and enters the ring.

Amelia Williams: This is our main event of the evening, and is for the Black Division Championship! Introducing first, from Des Moines, Iowa, weighing 228 pounds...Johnny Triumph!

Tori Montgomery: A funny thing I just noticed, Bob. If Triumph wins tonight, he will be facing Thor again next week in the opening round of the playoffs!

Bob Sinclair: I doubt he's thinking that far ahead, Tori. He wants to make sure he wins this match and the division before worrying about who is next.

Amon Amarth's "Death in Fire" hits the speakers, to a decent ovation he emerges from backstage, looking every bit the part of a Viking warrior as he strides to the ring with a determined look on his face...and scattering some of the fans away from the entrance ramp as he turns to glare at them. Behind him, his manager/League color commentator can be see giving him encouragement as the Viking enters the confines of the squared circle.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, being accompanied to the ring by Frankie Garnett, from Oslo, Norway, weighing 310 pounds...Thor Hammerskald!

Tori Montgomery: For Thor, a win locks him into the #3 seed, garnering him a first-round match against the always-dangerous Nuclear Templeton.

Bob Sinclair: Once again, I doubt he's thought that far ahead. After all, Frankie's his manager. You think he cares about minutiae like that?

Tori Montgomery: Good point.
