THE LEAGUE: SEASON FIVE, WEEK TWO

Making a return to the capital of British Columbia, it is a loud an raucous crowd that greets The League as the usual pyrotechnics and explosions go off at the top of the entrance ramp. The camera then quickly cuts to ringside and our usual announce team.

Bob Sinclair: Good evening, everyone, and welcome to the second week of the new season! Bob Sinclair, here at ringside as always along with Frankie Garnett and Tori Montgomery. After one week, guys, what are you looking for tonight from the combatants?

Tori Montgomery: Their will to win and their ability to endure. It's a long season, even with the upcoming Christmas break, and those who are able to keep their bodies in good shape should have the advantage.

Frankie Garnett: Bah, who needs conditioning when you have raw power? Power kills in this League, and tonight the wearing down process begins!

Bob Sinclair: In any event, folks, we've got some great action lined up for you tonight. With that said, let's go to Amelia Williams to get us underway.

ALPHA DIVISION: Maxx Skabb (1-0, 7%) vs. The Phoenix (1-0, 20%)

Avenged Sevenfold's "Nightmare" blares throughout the arena as spotlights begin to pan over the audience, as if looking for someone. A dim red light shines on the entryway, revealing a hulking figure making his way to ringside, with two more men hiding just at the fringes of the spotlight, their eyes never leaving the form of the big man. As the refrain hits, the spotlights immediately focus on him as white strobe lights flash on the entrance stage. He slides under the bottom rope, his orange jumpsuit a stark contrast to most of the clothing in the audience--as if the gold belt really fits in--as the song fades into silence.

Amelia Williams: Our opening contest of the night is scheduled for one fall in the Alpha Division! Introducing first, from the Orange County Correctional Facility, weighing 289 pounds, he is one-half of the reigning Tag Team Turmoil champions...Maxx Skabb!

Bob Sinclair: Skabb seems to have no chance, popular opinion is heavily against him from our online poll.

Tori Montgomery: It's a near unanimous vote, Bob. 98% seem to think that Skabb has too big a hill to climb.

Frankie Garnett: You made a "Phoenix is fat" joke!

Tori Montgomery: I did not!

Within Temptation's "Stand My Ground" hits the arena speakers as a League Original emerges from the back, through a wall of flame pyro. His face gives no emotions away as he walks to the ring, shadowboxing as he stops at the ring steps. A moment later, he slams both fists into the top step before looking up the heavens with a cry of "For the Fallen" coming from his lips. With no further ado, he steps between the ropes, ready to go to war once again.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from the End of Nowhere, weighing 337 pounds...this is The Phoenix!

Bob Sinclair: Phoenix still without the services of a manager, which has to be wearing in the back of his mind coming in.

Frankie Garnett: Oh, boo hoo, cry me a river. He had it coming to him!

Bob Sinclair: That has to be a bit of an upset!

Tori Montgomery: I'm not sure if it was how Phoenix landed from that choke backbreaker, but it was enough for Skabb to move to 2-0 on the young season!

Frankie Garnett: See? Told you he had it coming to him!

Tori Montgomery: ....

ALPHA DIVISION: Pizza Mask III (1-0, 18%) vs. Scott Stevens (0-1, 9%)

The lights in the arena go pitch black, as red lasers and spotlights light up the area. The video screen lights up and flashes across the screen, "Nothing survives my sting!" The crowd starts booing as Dave Mustaine's voice echoes throughout the arena, "I am the Scorpion, whoa!" The jeering intensifies as a mash-up of "I Stand Alone" and "Amazing" hits the speakers, drawing out the reigning Legacy Pro Wrestling champion, complete with belt around the waist. Walking down the aisle, he talks trash the entire way while pointing at the LPW title around his waist. As he finally gets to the ring, he climbs the nearest turnbuckle and stares down his opponent, an icy glare and the throat slash gesture his only actions as he drops to the mat.

Amelia Williams: This is an Alpha Division match scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Houston, Texas, weighing 256 pounds...The Master of Disaster, The King of Sting, The Venomous One and Only, and the reigning Legacy Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion... he is "The Scorpion" Scott Stevens!

Frankie Garnett: So, Tori, how much slander have you done, proclaiming Stevens' season to be over?

Tori Montgomery: None. It's still early in the season.

Frankie Garnett: So why were you in Chicago all week?

Tori Montgomery: I'm afraid I can't answer that, Frankie.

Bob Sinclair: Guys, we have a match to be calling shortly.

The lights in the arena do dark, as the sounds of bells tolling in the distance can be heard through the speakers. As the bells reach a crescendo, the opening to AC//DC's "Hell's Bells" hits the speakers as The Pizza Wagon emerges from the curtains backstage. Stopping in front of a smog machine, the mist partially conceals the form of the opponent before he steps into view. This week, the outfit consists of a fedora and trenchcoat...which are not intimidating in the least given the Noid clearly visible on the hat, and the legend "#RestInPizza" on the back of the trenchcoat. With barely any acknowledgement to the fans, he proceeds to the ring and steps through the ropes, slowly taking his entrance gear off in preparation for the match.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Your Friendly Neighborhood Pizzeria, weighing 199 pounds...Pizza Mask III!

Frankie Garnett: ...the hell is this?

Bob Sinclair: Stevens with a win over what most consider an arch-rival, and I shudder to think what we're going to see on Twitter this coming week.

Frankie Garnett: Oh, Lord, don't start this "Twitter Twitter #hashtag Twitter" crap. Doesn't SWF do enough of that?

Tori Montgomery: Says the man with a Twitter account of his own....

OMEGA DIVISION: Robbie Maynard (0-1, 11%) vs. Dante Lorenzo (1-0, 20%)

The opening riffs of Metallica's "Master of Puppets" hits the speakers, drawing a mixed reaction from the crowd as last season's champion emerges from the stage, bathed in a blue light shining beneath him. After pausing to mentally prepare himself, he walks to the ring, belt slung over his right shoulder and his eyes never leaving the squared circle as he climbs onto the apron and ducks between the ropes.

Amelia Williams: This is an Omega Division bout scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Liverpool, England, weighing 251 pounds, he is the reigning and defending League Champion...Robbie Maynard!

Bob Sinclair: The champ had a rough start to his championship defense last week; his task doesn't get any easier tonight.

Frankie Garnett: Just goes to show you that flukes still happen in The League, Bob.

Tori Montgomery: Not just anyone becomes the League Champion, Frankie. Maynard will find his groove again; this would be a heck of a week to do just that.

Three Days Grace's "Riot" hits the speakers to a chorus of jeers as the first Italian-born member of The League emerges from the back, ignoring the crowd in the arena as he mentally prepares for his upcoming match. Reaching the ring, he climbs up the steps and enters between the ropes, his face never losing a look of confident indifference.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Florence, Italy, weighing 291 pounds...Dante Lorenzo!

Bob Sinclair: Lorenzo started off strong last week, it would be a huge statement to go over the League Champ and go to 2-0 in the process.

Frankie Garnett: Speaking of, Tori, when ARE we getting the full schedule, anyway?

Tori Montgomery: That's for you to ask the Commissioner, Frankie. Though I hear there's a good chance of it happening later this week.

OMEGA DIVISION: Ian Carlisle (0-1, 19%) vs. Master Imoka (1-0, 14%)

Linkin Park's "What I've Done" blares through the arena as one of the League's youngest members steps into the arena. A moment later, he sprints towards the ring, sliding in under the bottom rope and heading to a corner to appeal to the fans.

Amelia Williams: This contest is scheduled for one fall in the Omega Division! Introducing first, from Blackpool, England, weighing 222 pounds...Ian Carlisle!

Bob Sinclair: This has been predicted as being an even match; it's a 50-50 split among those who voted online as to who would win this match.

Tori Montgomery: I'm still backing Carlisle in this one. He can pull an upset out at any moment; I'm thinking it will happen here.

Frankie Garnett: That's a foolish bet.

"You're the Best" blasts from the arena speakers as The League's lone Samoan emerges from the back, staring a hole through the ring as if by doing so, he can change it to his preferred medium of a martial arts mat. As he gets to ringside, he quickly lashes out and kicks the top half of the steel steps off the bottom half, snarling as he slides into the ring and stands motionless, waiting for the bell to sound.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from the Isle of Samoa, weighing 214 pounds...Master Imoka!

Tori Montgomery: The better question is how much is this going to demoralize Carlisle; he had the match all but won and yet Imoka still escapes Vancouver with a win!

ALPHA DIVISION: Jack Lightning (0-1, 20%) vs. Thor Hammerskald (1-0, 15%)

Amon Amarth's "Death in Fire" hits the speakers, to a decent ovation he emerges from backstage, looking every bit the part of a Viking warrior as he strides to the ring with a determined look on his face...and scattering some of the fans away from the entrance ramp as he turns to glare at them. Behind him, his manager/League color commentator can be see giving him encouragement as the Viking enters the confines of the squared circle.

Amelia Williams: This is an Alpha Division match scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, being accompanied to the ring by Frankie Garnett, from Oslo, Norway, weighing 310 pounds...Thor Hammerskald!

Bob Sinclair: It looks like Frankie has Thor ready to go tonight, Tori.

Tori Montgomery: Thor's as focused as I've seen him, Bob.

Metallica's "Ride the Lightning" hits the speakers as the first Canadian to enter The League emerges from the back, looking surprisingly at ease as he steps onto the ring apron and leaps over the top rope. Climbing onto the turnbuckles, he raises an arm in the air and drinks in the cheers of the crowd before dropping back to the mat and preparing for his match.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from London, Ontario, weighing 233 pounds...Jack Lightning!

Bob Sinclair: Is this the week the Canadian native picks up his first win of the season?

ALPHA DIVISION: Diamond (0-1, 18%) vs. Eidenhoek Gaiaspade (0-1, 17%)

Disturbed's "Indestructible" hits the arena as one of this season's rookies emerges from the back, looking surprisingly at ease despite the hard beat of the song. Jumping onto the apron from the floor, he steps between the ropes and calmly waits for the bell to get the match underway.

Amelia Williams: This Alpha Division contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from the Island of Tria, weighing 205 pounds...Eidenhoek Gaiaspade!

Bob Sinclair: Eidenhoek struggled last week against one of the larger competitors in The Phoenix; this week it goes to the opposite end of the spectrum.

Tori Montgomery: He still strikes me as being a bit under pressure, Bob. I doubt this is going to be easy for him.

"Don't Cha" hits the arena to a mixed reaction as The League's lone female member emerges from backstage. There is a confident smirk on her face as she talks trash with some of the louder fans before sprinting into the ring by diving under the bottom rope. As she stands, hoisting a title belt in the air, she proceeds to the corner nearest the announce table, hands thrown in the air as the soaks in the crowd reaction while her manager stands outside, also applauding her client.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, accompanied to the ring by Jayde, from Aberdeen, Scotland, weighing 137 pounds, she is one-half of the reigning Tag Team Turmoil champions...Diamond!

Bob Sinclair: Diamond came up just a bit short last week; this week she's obviously hoping for a better outcome.

Bob Sinclair: Diamond wasting little time here tonight, as she makes quick work of Gaius to move to 1-1 on the season.

ALPHA DIVISION: Nuclear Templeton (0-1, 21%) vs. Sebastian Moore (1-0, 16%)

It is to Muse's "Assassin" that he emerges, an arrogant smirk crossing his face as he soaks in the jeers of the crowd. Looking up at the spotlight for a moment, his smirk seems to get even bigger as he walks down the ramp, ignoring the catcalls of the crowd as he ascends the steps, wipes his feet on the apron, and steps through the ropes, looking more at ease than the casual fan may think.

Amelia Williams: This is an Alpha Division contest scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Manchester, England, weighing 237 pounds...Sebastian Moore!

Bob Sinclair: Moore was impressive in his return last week; this week he takes on a League original.

Frankie Garnett: It's called giving the rest of the division false hope.

OMEGA DIVISION: Sean (1-0, 20%) vs. Rannulf von Krüshengberg (1-0, 23%)

Motley Crue's "Kickstart My Heart" hits the arena speakers as a spotlight shines down on the top of the ramp. Emerging from the back, the former League Champion walks out as he throws a hand into the air, causing pyro to erupt from behind him in a manner of paparazzi photographing him. With a smirk, the champ heads to the ring, the spotlight remaining on him the whole time.

Amelia Williams: This is an Omega Division contest scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, now residing in Los Angeles, California, weighing 230 pounds..."Hollywood" Sean!

Tori Montgomery: My pick to win the Omega Division showed why he was just that last week, with an impressive victory.

Frankie Garnett: That's the only guy in the division I'm worried about. The others are mere formalities.

Bob Sinclair: Overconfident, Frankie?

Frankie Garnett: No. Just sure of what will happen.

The opening to Rammstein's "Mein Teil" hits the speakers as the largest member of The League emerges, causing everyone with something that could even remotely be considered food to get away from the entranceway as quickly as possible for fear of losing their food...and at least a body part or two.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from der Schwarzwald, Deutschland, weighing 421 pounds..."Der Panzer" Rannulf von Krüshengberg!

Bob Sinclair: Rannulf was also victorious last week, having been pushed harder than expected by Ian Carlisle. Is that going to be a factor in this match?

A remixed version of "Ecstasy of Gold" hits the speakers, which is nearly drowned out in jeers as he emerges from the entryway. Instead of taking the steps closest to him, he walks around to the opposite side of the ring, drawing in more jeers as he finally climbs the steps and enters the ring.

Amelia Williams: This is an Omega Division bout scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Des Moines, Iowa, weighing 228 pounds...Johnny Triumph!

Bob Sinclair: Triumph went through a tough match with Lorenzo last week; tonight he faces a young upstart.

Frankie Garnett: Should be a squash then.

Tori Montgomery: I wouldn't be so sure, Frankie.

"Here Comes the Money" hits the speakers, as one of this season's rookies emerges from the back, with a beautiful woman hanging off his left arm. He pays no attention to the jeering fans, his attitude simply screaming "I'm better than you."

Amelia Williams: His opponent, accompanied to the ring by Missy Callistra, from Providence, Rhode Island, weighing 224 pounds...Benjamin T. Stanton, Jr.!

Tori Montgomery: Stanton reminds me of Ian Carlisle—both can be plenty tenacious at times, and both may simply refuse to be pinned.

OMEGA DIVISION: Tarik Nolan (0-1, 35%) vs. Super Century (1-0, 15%)

Without warning, all of the lights go off in the arena, casting everything into pitch blackness. A few seconds pass before a spotlight shines on one of the turnbuckles, revealing no one there. This is repeated with all four corners, each revealing no one there. Finally, one last spotlight shines down onto the middle of the ring, which reveals the caped form of The League's resident superhero, who stands with arms folded and staring intently into the audience.

Amelia Williams: This is our main event of the evening, scheduled for one fall in the Omega Division! Introducing first, from the Halls of Justice, weighing 205 pounds...Super Century!

Tori Montgomery: I do not envy Century's job tonight.

"Regulate" hits the speakers, immediately drawing the ire of the crowd as a large figure stands in the entryway, backlit by a clear spotlight. Pyro explodes on the stage, causing the light to shut off as the figure finally emerges onto the stage proper. Laughing at the boos hurled in his direction, he takes his time walking to the ring and subsequently entering it for his next match.

Amelia Williams: His opponent, from Shreveport, Louisiana, weighing 292 pounds...Tarik Nolan!

Bob Sinclair: Likely because the schedule came out that way, Frankie. This is not "flex scheduling" like in the NFL.
