Colton Thorpe's plan to prevent Cayle Murray from competing at International Affair wasn't a complete success, but his actions have taken a significant toll on the popular Scotsman.
WrestleUTA.com staff have today learned that Murray has suffered multiple bruised ribs following Thorpe's relentless chair attack on Victory XL -- an injury that typically takes 4-6 weeks for a full recovery.
The UTA's medical team have commented that Cayle was "very lucky" to have escaped without any breakages, and while he will almost certainly be cleared to compete at International Affair, he'll be considerably impaired by his war wounds.
With Proving Grounds still to come, there's every change that Thorpe will look to inflict further punishment on his opponent ahead of the PPV. Will these injuries be enough to satisfy Thorpe on the road to the Tokyo Dome?
