"Five dollars?! Since when does it cost money to get into the house of God?!"
An annoyed Jed Dye barks at a member of the church. We see Jed along with his Japanese sumo pal, Yoshii, outside at the magnificent entrance of the Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, Quebec. The church member who is accepting entrance fees smiles and waits for Jed to pay.
"The fee is not viewed as access to the Basilica but as a collection to help support the church. We truly appreciate it from our visitors."
Jed twitches his head back a bit as he snickers.
"Hah, sounds fishy. I'm on to you guys."
Jed still hands over $10 to the member so he and Yoshii can get access to the inside. The member graceful accepts the 'donation' and turns his palm up and moves his arm in the direction of the Basilica front doors inviting them to proceed. They walk on towards the doors.
"Yoshii very excited. Yoshii never be to church before. Yoshii very glad Jed so nice."
"Eh, they're all the same if you ask me. Windows that are randomly divided into sections and parts with different colors and people think they're so beautiful. Bogus! I had better art designs in kindergarten."
It's highly unlikely Dye's drawings of dragons and wizards would out duel the stained glass masterpieces of the Basilica. But then again, in his world...who could out due him in anything, right?
The two enter the doors and walk inside. Yoshii's mouth drops in awe as he gazes all around from one end to the other. Jed on the other hand looks around continuously as if he is deemed to find a certain something.
His eyes widens and he smiles.
"Hah, found it. This way big man."
Jed taps Yoshii's massive backside and guides him to the side of the church, which seems like MILES away as it's a huge room. You could fit a thousands of Yoshii in the structure.
Yoshii strides along behind Jed taking in the sights. SMACK! He runs right into Jed's back who happened to stop ever so suddenly next to what looks to be nice wooded rooms in the church.
"Watch it, Yosh! Ah, that's gonna leave a mark for sure. Dang it. ALRIGHT, here we are. This is what we came for."
Yoshii looks at the closed doors leading to these wooden rooms. He looks back all around the Basilica, then back to the small wooden rooms. He's confused.
"Yoshii confused, Jed. Big place out here. Small place there. Why Jed want to go small place? Room as big and beautiful as Yoshii!"
He says with a smile on his face and holding his arms out to the side admiring the room once again.
Jed rolls his eyes.
"When I told you it was time to come back, did I or didn't I tell you that you need to trust me with this adventure? I'm a survivor, Yosh. I do what it takes to survive in this pitiful world we live in. If you want to survive, trust me. Let's go in."
"Yoshii admire Jed courage. Yoshii know Jed look for best of Yoshii. We go in now."
Jed nods his head as Yoshii walks by him, he then shakes his head from side to side looking let down.
Yoshii isn't a fool. He's not a dummy. Someone with such qualities would never have been able to be a UTA Internet Champion and most of all a UTA Champion on top of that. However, there's just some people in this fine world who seem to look outside the box, and then a box after that, and then a box after that. That's someone like Jed Dye. Or, at least, that's what he revealed to the Japanese sumo when this beautiful friendship began.
Jed is a VERY career oriented individual. He takes his work seriously and does it with the upmost honor. He will do WHATEVER it takes. Even if that means stepping foot inside a porta potty sized confessional with his dearest of clients and big friend, Yoshii.
They squeeze in there together. Yoshii has his back to the wall and facing Jed. Jed squashes up against the big man, looking as if he's engulfed in love handles of the sumo legend. The door BARLEY shuts and could probably bust open at anytime. Talk about being up close and personal.
"Ohhhh boy, alright let's just, okay-, let me move here, ahhH!, move your-, okay just, THERE! Alright, don't move."
Yoshii just stares down at his mentor and smiles down at him too.
"What we do? Yoshii no do this before."
"Don't worry. I got this. You just LISTEN. This is what we YOU need to get through that little pest called Lisil Jackson. The VOODOO man."
Yoshii trembles with fear.
"I absolve you from your sins. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen."
Yoshii raises his eyebrows and looks at Jed. Who was that?!
"Ah, yes, yes, sir father of the good ol' almighty gloryful masterpiece above the clouds...um......yes....we've come today for some help."
Jed looks up and gives Yoshii a nod. He has this.
"Speak your words my dear child."
Jed clears his throat.
"We, ah, we want to know about the underworld. What does it take to keep yourself safe from being infected by such DARK dark darkness?"
Yoshii shakes his head intensely, really looking for an answer as well. He's confident in defending himself against most things in this world. Animals. Human. Taxes. However when it comes to voodoo and dark magic, no one stands a chance. Lisil Jackson is scary.
"Simple child. God gave us ten commandments to follow and live our lives by. Follow those and you will be cleared of an eternal life in darkness below."
Yoshii nods and Jed nods back at him. Nailed it.
"Excellent, so we just follow some simple rules and we'll be alright. That easy?!
How hard can that be, Yoshii?!"
"One is tempted by sin every day, every hour, every minute. It's up to you to keep those demons away and stay on the right path."
DEMONS?! WHO SAID ANYTHING ABOUT DEMONS?! Yoshii and Jed look at each other, fear over flowing from their faces.
"What sort of demons are we talking about here???"
"Demons come in all shapes and forms. There's no telling what way temptation will be presented to you. Just stick to our saviors word and pray to the heavens and have faith. There's no shame asking for help."
Yoshii whispers to Jed...
"Yoshii need lot of help! Yoshii no see how this help!"
"Priest sir, we may need some help. We seem to have a human man full of voodooism who we must come face to face with in battle. We are afraid that this darkness will be used against us. We want to live. Who can we go to for help? We DON'T want to die."
"Believe my child. Believe that you have help and guidance at all times. Faith is a valuable thing. It can work miracles. This man you talk about, he is confused, lost. Give him the word and help put him on the right path. We are all children, help each other out. Believe, pray, trust."
Jed and Yoshii both look at each other once again and nod. Jed speaks to the Japanese Godzilla.
"I GET IT! I understand it now. Yoshii. We, I mean YOU can over come this. We got this. You want to know why?"
Yoshii nods his head up and down.
"Because I know you can. I BELIEVE in you buddy. I TRUST and KNOW that you will do whatever it takes to defeat that man once and for all. Lisil Jackson, he, he may have his voodoo. He may have his dark magic, but like this guy on the other side of this wall says, we can overcome him by believing and asking for help. That's what you did! You have ALREADY ASKED ME for help! Remember. That's why I'm here, to guide you to the top. No matter who or what is in our way! Whether it be a bear, or an ugly Jamaican, or-"
"-a demon...we can do it, YOU can do it! Lisil Jackson can try all the things he wants. There's going to be no stopping us. We KNOW our PATH. We were once on a GREAT path and like this guy just said, sometimes we get off our path. BUT now that we're back in the UTA, we are BACK on it. Have no more fear, Yoshii. Have none at all. You have me. Have faith in me and trust in me. WE'RE going to get back to the graceland here!"
Jed shakes his head up and down, really getting excited. Yoshii smiles and is getting excited as well.
Putting his trust and faith into his friend, Jed Dye, brought him to new heights in the wrestling world. He was the best sumo in Asia, he was at the TOP of the UTA and held it's most prestigious prize. Follow Jed, follow his lead, listen to his word. The big man has the strength and power to dominate. With the faith and belief of his pal, he's not scared of nothing. No one. That includes the sharp dressed and cool sunglasses wearing dude he saw in Jed Dye's binder. He has to do in order to keep the DEMONS away.
"Yoshii saved! Yoshii and Jed be okay! UTA we come!"
CRRRRRRAAASSSHHHHHHHHHHH!!! The door busts off as the force of the two bodies jammed in the confession bursts Jed out to the floor on top of the broken door. Yoshii stares in shock, jaw dropped, staring at Jed and the carnage.
Jed lies there with his glasses turned sideways and tie over his face. Wood chips and pieces splintered everywhere. The priest flies out of the other door. Oh boy.
The priest looks at Jed on the ground, then up at Yoshii, at Jed, then Yoshii. Why on EARTH would two people be in the confession at once?! A man at that size as well?!
"CURSE YOU BOTH, LEAVE THIS CHURCH!!! LEAVE NOW!"
Jed scrambles to his feet and Yoshii goes to run out of the confession as his massive torso knocks off more wood that was hanging. He helps Jed get completely to his feet and they run out of the Basilica.
"WE ARE DEFINITELY ON THE RIGHT PATH GOOD BUDDY!!! WOOO HOOOO!"
