When it comes to life you hear many sayings and phrases like…..

Every cloud has a silver lining:

This means that even when bad things happen, it may be possible to find some good in them.

Haste makes waste:

This means you will make mistakes when you do things too quickly.

The writings on the wall:

This means that something is essentially a foregone conclusion.

Time heals all wounds:

This means that your pain and suffering will get better over time

What goes around comes around:

This means the way you treat others will eventually be the way you are treated.

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade:

This means to keep a positive attitude even when things are going bad.

However, the most overused cliché in life is the one use by my Wrestleshow opponent, Dan Benson, as he as made it his mantra.

Shock the World:

This is usually referred to people who surprise the hell out of a mass majority of people when they were never given a chance to begin with.

We see it all the time in life.

It can be a student in school who people write off as a loser and a nobody and by the time he graduates he’s the Valedictorian of that graduating class. In business we see someone take an idea that people say is idiotic, and it turns out to be worth a billion dollars: Twitter, Facebook, GoPro, Instagram, Youtube, etc. Or they improve on an existing idea to make it even better, wheels on suitcases for example.

However, those are subtle things that shock the world.

If those are the low key ways of shocking the world than what are the major events? Those would come in the form of wars and sports. The American Revolution when a group of rebels defeated the invincible British army to become an independent nation. The realization of what an atomic bomb can do based on the devastation of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. That the great and powerful United States military was defeated by simple guerilla tactics in Vietnam and this occurred again to the Russians when they lost to local insurgents in Afghanistan. In sports, you have the Miracle on Ice when the United States national hockey team defeated the Soviets, who were the favorites to win it all, in the medal round to advance to the finals and win the gold. You also have the Boston Red Sox coming back from a 3-0 deficit to defeat their arch-rivals, the New York Yankees, and go on to win the World Series and erase the Curse of the Bambino. In 2007 you had the 9-7 New York Giants defeating the 16-0 New England Patriots.

2015 has seen it’s share of moments that “shocked the world” and Wrestle UTA was filled with them. You had the likes of Gentleman Jack dethroning CBR after a championship reign of 237 days. You had Alex Beckman just utterly destroying Lamond Alexander Robertson to win the Prodigy championship. Recently, you had Amy Harrison defeating the odds and walked out of International Affair with the championship Beckman vacated do to injury. Then Lew Smith did the unthinkable and defeated Amy Harrison for the Prodigy championship, and this is his first taste of UTA gold when earlier in the year he came within a heartbeat of becoming the world champion. Just last week Lisil Jackson continued to prove he is a legit player in Wrestle UTA when he defeated former UTA champion Yoshii which most people would consider an upset. I even had my own moment as well when I when I walked out of Alcatraz prison victorious when everyone said I couldn’t do it, and would never become the top champion.

The thing Dan Benson needs to differentiate from is that saying you’re going to do it and actually doing it are two different things. I mean you can use it as a cute little catchphrase and shout it to you’re blue in the face, but everyone talks the talk but not everyone can walk the walk. You can spend money on elaborate robes and have in embroidered on the back glistening in jewels but all that money spent would be for nothing if you can’t put your money where your mouth is. In wrestling everyone has a finishing move that they give an affectionate name to, but how can you call your finisher “The Shocker” when you’re not shocking nobody with it?

There is a fine line between confidence and arrogance and you happen to fall into the latter. You act as if I’m some annoying fly that’s buzzing around you that your just trying to swat so you can enjoy the rest of day. Your complete nonchalant attitude about me is laughable when I’ve been in Wrestle UTA a shorter amount of time than you and I’ve accomplished more than you. So continue buying fancy robes and material possessions Benson and I’ll continue to challenge for championships. Continue to boast about how great you are and how you “Shock the World” when you step into the ring, and I’ll bring you back to reality when I defeat you and I go on to “Shock the World” by defeating Colton Thorpe at Wrestleshow 50.

At Wrestleshow, I’m going to show you why I am the next Wildfire Champion.
